I am writing you on behalf of How to Save a Life Foundation. How to Save a Life is an organization I started on behalf of my son, Karl Hottenstein. after he was unable to receive help with his addiction. My son Karl never went into a treatment facility in his life and when he turned for help he was denied proper in patient treatment. My son died six weeks later and no human being should ever be turned away due to an illness. Life is precious and people need to realize the seriousness of how fatal addiction is. If a person is not treated for their disease it is fatal.
Our mission is to raise awareness in the community on the effects of drug and alcohol abuse. How to Save a Life finds immediate treatment for those suffering addiction. We accomplish this by hosting various fundraising events throughout the communities.
